We strive to form a community of believers in Jesus Christ by loving God and one another. Together, we teach, learn, and live the Gospel values. By developing our students' God-given talents, we successfully build their self-esteem, encourage them to do their best academically, and to become good leaders. Students are afforded opportunities for concrete acts of service which nurtures and develops a sense of responsibility toward others.
St. Pius X school was founded in 1955. In 1996, St. Pius X, Our Lady of Loreto, and Resurrection Schools merged to form Brookline Regional Catholic School (BRC).
As Catholic education evolves, regional schools are becoming the norm. In an effort to expand Catholic-school excellence beyond the neighborhood of Brookline, BRC became St. John Bosco Academy (SJBA) in 2014. SJBA successfully provides Catholic education to the South Hills region and is supported by the surrounding parishes within the region.
